Last month (Jan,2013) I went and bought me a decent acoustic guitar. A Breedlove Passport D200/SMP. 25 years ago I did have a sweet Gibson Les Paul and played for little while but wasn’t any good. Well after 25 years my hands got fatter and my brain dumber. I’ve pretty much had to start from scratch and retrain my fingers and reconnect my brain to my hands, An acoustic is a little harder to play than an electric also. It’s less forgiving and takes more muscle to hold down the thicker strings. I’ve been practicing songs like Neil Young’s “Old man”, Moody Blues “Nights in White Satin” and Eric Clapton’s ‘Tears in Heaven” to name a few. One thing about an acoustic is it’s used to accompany singing which I am terrible at. I wonder if I can learn to sing just a little?
